Music helps some Calif. educators teach core content

Some schools in California are teaching math, history, language arts and more through music. San Diego-based nonprofit Guitars in the Classroom provides free lessons and instruments to help nonmusic educators teach children songs about multiplication, fractions and other core subjects. "The most important thing is it's fun," teacher Patty Bertram said. "They don't even know they're working."
