Nurse creates program to make city more dementia-aware

Registered nurse Jan Zimmerman started the Watertown Dementia Awareness Coalition in Wisconsin to help train businesses to recognize and assist people with dementia. A second program, Premise Alert, registers people with dementia, mental illnesses and brain injuries, and firefighters and police can be prepared if a victim or subject is on the list.
