Oracle pitches sales via reps' personal social profiles

About 5% of Oracle sales reps use their personal social media accounts as a sales tool for the company, a big ask from Oracle that marketer Jill Rowley says is a winning strategy. Rowley teaches the sales teams how to sell via social and to add a light Oracle touch to personal accounts such as using company sailboats as the background for Twitter accounts. "It's way more frickin' fun than cold calling," she says.
