W.Va. Senate resolution urges preventive action on chemical spills

A West Virginia Senate resolution is calling on the federal government and Congress to take preventive actions on chemical spills. It also asks the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Environmental Protection Agency to collect safety and composition data on the chemical that spilled in West Virginia's Elk River in January. Additionally, Congress should instruct the Federal Emergency Management Agency to continue supplying water to affected residents, it says.
