CVS' Restructuring Plan Contributes To Fourth-Quarter Loss

Rhode Island-based CVS has posted a $130.2 million loss for the fourth quarter of 2001. The drugstore chain attributes the loss to its $352.5 million restructuring plan. CVS reported a 7.9% increase of same-store sales for January, in addition to a 10.3% rise in pharmacy same-store sales.
