Congress should probe New Orleans levee failures, group says

A grassroots group is urging Congress to create an independent panel to investigate what caused levees to fail after Hurricane Katrina. The group, Levees.org, called the Army Corps of Engineers' investigation "inadequate." "It's about getting all the facts so that, in the future, water management projects are done right and everyone in New Orleans -- including citizens, businesses, hospitals, colleges and insurance companies -- can have faith in the flood protection," says Sandy Rosenthal, founder and director of Levees.org.
