S&P buys GSCI, two other indexes from Goldman Sachs

Standard & Poor's is buying the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index and two stock indexes from Goldman Sachs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Market observers said the sale could be an attempt by Goldman to head off any perceived conflicts of interest, or simply to exit low-margin businesses.
