S&P announces reforms as pressure mounts on ratings agencies

Standard & Poor's announced a raft of business changes as regulators call for a code of conduct for the ratings agencies. S&P will hire an ombudsman, alter the way risk is measured and require disclosure of collateral that backs securities. The agency also plans to reduce potential conflicts of interest and boost investor education.
