AVMA guide aims to inform owners about risks of canine interaction

Dogs are more likely to transmit diseases to humans and other dogs in crowded settings, such as dog parks and day care centers. Precautionary measures are necessary in these settings. AVMA recently published a guide to better educate owners about the health risks that arise in social settings involving dogs. The guide is available at the AVMA Web site.
