Ohio manufacturer announces BPA-free product

Packaging manufacturer Greif announced the development of a bisphenol A-free co-polyester water bottle that has similar characteristics as polycarbonate bottles. Company spokeswoman Debra Strohmaier said Greif is not scrapping its line of PC bottles, and she would not comment on whether the debate on BPA is changing the company's marketing campaigns. This comes amid looming bans on BPA in baby bottles and food and beverage containers in Washington state and Wisconsin.
