Students who are gifted learn investigative techniques in CSI class

Students in an Illinois middle-school gifted program spent their Saturday learning about crime-scene investigation in a class taught by a law-enforcement officer and their science teacher, who has worked in the state crime lab. Students received hands-on instruction in fingerprint-lifting and used a facial-recognition computer system as part of the program, which is funded by the school district.
