Stiff costumes stood in the way of U.K. town's Christmas cheer

Some people in a U.K. town were disappointed with the costumed actors hired for a Christmas celebration. The actors, who depicted characters from the Mr. Men series of books, were supposed to turn on the town's Christmas lights, but their restrictive costumes prevented them from doing so. "It was impossible for the characters to wave to the children because they were unable to move their arms," one official noted.
