EPA OKs new E15 fueling option

The Environmental Protection Agency endorsed a fueling configuration intended to address concerns about potential commingling of E10 and E15 in single dispensers. The new option requires a dedicated pump for blends with 10% ethanol and less and another dispenser for E15 that must be clearly labeled to prevent misfueling. "With this new change, we expect to see additional interest in E15 and an increased availability thereby provided American drivers with a product that helps reduce our dependence on foreign oil while also benefiting the environment," said Bob Dinneen, president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association.
