IRS postpones effective date for mandatory disclosure language under Sec. 7216

The Internal Revenue Service recently issued mandatory language that practitioners must use when getting consent from taxpayers to use or disclose their information for various purposes. The new mandatory language was to have been effective Jan. 14, but on Wednesday the IRS pushed back the effective date.
