Obama picks former REI chief to head Interior

President Barack Obama named REI president and CEO Sally Jewell as his pick to succeed Ken Salazar as Secretary of the Interior. Jewell is a trained engineer who worked in oil fields and banks before taking the helm at the $2-billion-a-year outdoor clothing and gear retailer. "She knows that there's no contradiction between being good stewards of the land and our economic progress, that, in fact, those two things need to go hand and hand," Obama said.
