Restaurants created new jobs at the fastest pace in 17 years in 2012, and they're on track to see similar growth this year, according to the National Restaurant Association. The industry now employs about 441,000 more people than it did in the peak pre-recession years, while the overall economy is still about 3.2 million jobs behind.
