Studies link carbs to acne

A new study indicates that diet can affect the skin, and that foods high on the glycemic index -- typically carbohydrates -- may cause acne. The study, published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, found that a group of men ages 15 to 25, significantly reduced their acne by eating a diet of low-glycemic foods.
