Data-system repair spurs dispute among exchanges

Exchanges continue to dispute the maintenance of the Securities Information Processor, which is operated by Nasdaq OMX Group. A software issue shut down the SIP last year, halting trading of stocks listed on Nasdaq for three hours. Nasdaq says the committee that oversees the SIP will agree to only a few of the exchange operator's proposed changes. The committee is scheduled to meet again next week.
