Mourning in the social media era

Facebook recently helped a grieving father by creating a "Look Back" video for his late son, and officials at the network say they're looking at other ways to help grieving family members. That highlights the extent to which bereaved families are reliant on the good will of social networks, and shows the need for clearer legal frameworks for handling digital legacies, writes Jeff John Roberts. "But governments move slowly and, until they do, we can expect to hear more stories like the one about the grieving father," Roberts writes.
