Study: Women with schizophrenia have higher pregnancy risks

Pregnant women with schizophrenia have a higher risk of complications, the need for ICU care and hospital readmission than those who do not have the mental disorder, according to research from Women's College Hospital in Toronto. The study in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology also found babies born to women with schizophrenia were more likely to have abnormally low or high birth weights.
