True to form, John Bogle advocates passive approach to retirement investing

Vanguard founder John Bogle, a longtime passive investing advocate, says people saving for retirement are best off leaving their investments alone and letting them grow with the market. Paying an active fund manager a 2.5% fee over an average investor's lifetime means that 80% of the compounded returns end up in the hands of the fund managers rather than the investor, he says.
