JPMorgan Chase sells insurance, annuity group for $1.2 billion

JPMorgan Chase & Co. sold its life insurance and annuity underwriting business to Protective Life Corp. for $1.2 billion in cash. The sale of the five companies that make up Chase Insurance Group comes some three months after Chase said it would leave the insurance industry.
