DOT postpones implementing landing fee policy change

Objections from airlines have prompted the government to delay implementing changes to a federal landing fee policy it says will reduce congestion at major airports. The Air Transport Association, which opposes the plan, was granted its request for a 30-day extension on the comment period. An ATA spokesman said the extension will give ATA and the airlines "more time to thoroughly review the proposal and provide meaningful input."
