Creativity is just constructive copying

People assume that you're either creative or you're not, but the truth is that the best innovators are simply people who've learned to copy others constructively, says creativity guru Fredrik Härén. The real trick, Härén says, is to forget what you think you know and look at old problems in new ways. "There has never been a brand-new idea or a person in history that has invented something brand new," he says. "Everything is just building on a previously existing thing."
