Natural gas drilled from shale formations could provide the U.S. with a 90-year supply of fuel, but Congress should repeal a 2005 decision that exempted the process from review by the Environmental Protection Agency, according to this editorial. Residents living near drilling sites need to be able to count on the EPA to make sure water wells and reservoirs are not being contaminated by drilling activities.
