Gardeners can utilize rainy days

February is typically a wet month in California's Napa Valley, but the rain doesn't mean gardeners can't be productive. When forced indoors, gardeners can clean, sharpen and repair tools, get the lawn mower serviced, or order vegetable and flower seeds, writes Pat Hitchcock, master gardener. Gardeners should resist the urge to work on wet soil because it can force out needed air, advises Hitchcock.
