Georgia regulator brushes off GOP fears he will lose gubernatorial race

Republicans in Georgia appear to doubt whether state Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine, who is likely to clinch the party's nomination, could win the gubernatorial election this year after a key party member hurled criticism against the regulator. But Oxendine brushed off fears he would lose, saying the attacks were a price he had to pay for being a front-runner. "I am focused on doing my job as insurance commissioner, working for our taxpayers and bringing jobs to Georgia," he said.
