GOP leaders fail to win White House support to restart reform talks

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said that President Barack Obama remains open to health reform ideas from Republicans but he will not "walk away from reform." The statement is in response to a letter from House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va., who said that Obama should be willing to restart health overhaul talks and reject budget reconciliation efforts if he was sincere about establishing bipartisanship in the negotiations.
