Health care reform is still a priority, nurse leaders say

The ANA and other nursing groups are still pushing for health care reform to be passed in Congress, despite a loss of momentum for passing the legislation. The ANA favors the House bill, which calls for a medical home model led by nurse practitioners, because a nurse-led model of care puts the focus on prevention and wellness, rather than disease.
