House subcommittee to conduct hearing on medical radiation

The House Energy and Commerce Committee's subcommittee on health on Wednesday is scheduled to conduct a hearing concerning adverse events being associated with the use of medical radiation as part of diagnostic and treatment procedures. Several studies published last year have highlighted the increase in American patients' exposure to radiation as a result of undergoing medical tests. However, harsh weather conditions in the U.S. capital this week could delay the hearing.
