Pa. ethanol plant is up and running, official says

Bionol's ethanol facility in Clearfield, Pa., is "at or near 100%" after undergoing performance testing Monday, according to General Manager Roger Schmidt. The 110 million-gallon-per-year plant received its first corn shipment on Dec. 11 and began ethanol production Dec. 30. On April 1, Getty Petroleum will assume marketing of Bionol's ethanol under a five-year deal, while Land O'Lakes will be in charge of selling the distillers grains, Schmidt added.
