Probe into Kleen Energy blast focuses on pipeline purge

Investigators are looking at a process that uses natural gas to purge pipes as the possible cause of a power plant explosion in Connecticut that killed five people and injured 12. The U.S. Chemical Safety Board issued recommendations on preventing such explosions just days before the blast at the plant. Investigators have ruled out terrorism but not criminal negligence.
