Aircraft simulator proposed at Florida State College in Jacksonville

Officials at Florida State College in Jacksonville are seeking a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration to help pay for a $5 million Boeing 737 aircraft-rescue firefighting simulator. The propane-fired simulator would be part of a proposed Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Facility at the school's fire academy. The school also has a burn-ship facility, which provides maritime-fire training to firefighters.
