Michigan mayors drop pounds in weight-loss competition

Five mayors in Michigan started 2012 by participating in the Grand Valley Health Plan's weight-loss competition, as a way to encourage the community to get involved. So far, Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell has lost 8 pounds, and Walker Mayor Rob VerHeulen has shed about 5 pounds by walking more and avoiding night-time snacks.
