The simplest definition of a gastropub is a pub that serves good food, but a growing number of proprietors in the Pittsburgh area are seeking to fine-tune that to reflect the higher-end and artisan dishes on the menu. At Meat and Potatoes, chef and owner Richard DeShantz takes it further, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients featured in dishes that showcase their natural flavors.
