U.S. teen pregnancy rate at record low in 2008, researchers say

Guttmacher Institute researchers found a pregnancy rate of 67.8 per 1,000 women ages 15 to 19 in 2008, the lowest teen pregnancy rate seen in the U.S. since 1972. They noted a 42% decline in the teen pregnancy rate from 1990, when it was at a high of 116.9 per 1,000 teens.
