Washington state considers an indoor tanning ban for teens

Lawmakers in Washington state are considering identical House and Senate bills that would ban teenagers from indoor tanning at salons. The law would require salons to check identifications and would impose fines of up to $2,500 per day. Exposure to indoor tanning devices increase the risk of melanoma by 75%, a 2010 American Cancer Society study found.
