Los Angeles Westside project stirs decades of public debate

Los Angeles city planners have their hands full with a stacks-high, 23-volume environmental report submitted for the long-debated Playa Vista, a Westside project planned for development between Marina del Rey and Westchester. The Westside project is two decades in the making, and the environmental report has generated strong debate over such issues as impact on air quality, water quality and gridlock.
