Cyren Call proposal faces tough questions

The Senate Commerce Committee heard testimony on the Cyren Call emergency broadband network proposal, with several senators expressing skepticism, including Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., who questioned whether the proposal was designed to help the private sector benefit from public safety. With 49.7MHz already allocated, emergency services has sufficient spectrum, according to Steve Largent, chief executive of CTIA - The Wireless Association®.
