Lawmaker wants to boost competition among airlines

Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn., said it should be more difficult for airlines to jointly coordinate prices and schedules. Oberstar, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, recently introduced a bill that would raise the standards airlines must meet to be granted antitrust immunity.
