N.C. port project lacks necessary infrastructure

The lack of infrastructure could hamper plans to open the first phase of the North Carolina International Terminal. The terminal was based, in part, on Virginia's APM Terminal, which is near several rail lines and major highways. Meanwhile, North Carolina lawmakers note that the state does not have the funds to build quality roads to the site planned for the international terminal. They are currently looking for a new partner for the public-private project.
