Experts: Research needed on preferred learning styles of UAE students

United Arab Emirates officials say that more research on teaching is necessary to improve student achievement because while much research has been done on teaching in the West, very little exists on how to teach effectively in the United Arab Emirates. A study of teaching practices at Zayed University found that students prefer a verbal, discussion-based style of learning, but poorer students might favor hands-on activities while learning.
