A 27-year-old Ohio man forced a partial evacuation at Detroit Metro Airport on Monday when he "walked through the passenger screening checkpoint without stopping," according to an airport spokesman. Kaylan Policherla, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in India, was Tasered by police after he ignored TSA officers and walked into the terminal's secure area with no boarding pass and no luggage. Policherla was stopped from entering the concourse by a flexible metal gate that closed when TSA triggered a security alarm. He was arrested and charged with entering an airport in violation of security requirements, though he refused to answer FBI questions regarding his motives.
