Security experts are questioning how an unidentified man accessed the airport tarmac and hid inside the landing gear of a Delta Air Lines flight from New York to Tokyo. The body of the unidentified stowaway was found by maintenance workers at Tokyo's Narita Airport on Sunday, and the FBI is "trying to figure out when and where he got on the plane," according to a spokesman. The incident highlights a vulnerability in the aviation system, according to Richard Bloom, a security expert at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. "If a stowaway can get into the aircraft, whenever that occurred, that says a lot about security procedures of that area and the maintenance inspection procedures there," he says. "If it turns out to be a stowaway, the teaching event is that if you can do it with a body, you could do it with explosives."
