Airlines' bill for EU emissions-trading could be $670M, analysis shows

Airlines could be hit with a tab of $670 million this year under the European Union's emissions-trading scheme, according to an analysis. All carriers flying into and out of Europe were required to join the scheme Jan. 1. A group of 26 countries opposed to the scheme will meet in Moscow on Feb. 21.
