Startup helps diners cut back and give back

A startup called Halfsies plans to partner with restaurants to give guests the option of ordering half portions of dishes and donate the value of the other half to charity. The four founders of the Austin-based venture, which will expand to New York later this year, say the idea is to highlight a range of food issues such as overeating, food waste and world hunger.
