Comcast, since launching its electronic sellthrough effort in November, quickly has grabbed a 15% share of the market for digital TV show and movie sales, according to Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer. The cable giant's entrance into the market "is already proving to be a catalyst for accelerated growth," Feltheimer said. "We expect additional growth as other MSOs follow suit."
