Verizon offers 2-year price freeze for new customers

Verizon FiOS through April 19 promises to hold its rates for two years for triple-play customers. The deal includes a "free upgrade" to Quantum broadband with speeds up to 50 Mbps on the downstream and 25 Mbps on the upstream; Prime HD with more than 215 channels; and digital voice with unlimited calling around the country. The offer comes amid a slowdown in new customer growth for the telecom.
