Metts to leave post

Iris T. Metts will leave her position as chief executive of Prince George's County (Md.) public schools when her contract expires in June, following a tenure that has been marked by several improvements but has also included public disputes with parents' groups and principals. While not identifying her new position, Metts indicated it will allow her to remain in the Maryland suburbs.
