Analysis: Is Wal-Mart loosening its grip on prices?

Wal-Mart suppliers say it is becoming easier to convince the retailer to absorb a price hike on some items, whereas before Wal-Mart would simply threaten to take their business to a competing supplier. Vendors say after years of pushing rock-bottom prices, Wal-Mart too needs price relief, and an improving economy should make it easier for Wal-Mart to pass price increases on to customers.
